Total Hockey Experience
We focus on parts of the game rarely taught at conventional hockey camps and programs.
  • Puck Support: Many people talk about it, but what does it mean? We teach and reinforce puck support from both an offensive and defensive perspective.
  • Puck Possession: We emphasize individual and team puck possession using innovative drills and games.
  • Transition: A hockey game contains hundreds of transitions from offense to defense and vice versa. We will help you recognize those situations and use them to your advantage.
  • Positional Training: We offer specialized sessions for forwards, defense, and goalies, focusing on the details of the position and how to incorporate them into your game.
  • The Mental Game: We teach strategies and techniques used to maximize performance through mental skills training.
  • Fun: We teach hockey in a high-tempo environment where players are encouraged to take risks and extend their game past their comfort zone.
Knowledgeable. Enthusiastic. Experts.
Our staff is eager to share its wealth of knowledge with you.
  • Our staff of women’s college coaches are carefully selected for their passion for hockey and expertise in teaching the game.
  • Current women’s college players act as counselors on and off the ice. They will dress in full hockey equipment and participate in all on-ice activities in order to demonstrate and to show campers the skill level of collegiate hockey players.
  • Staff leads daily off-ice presentations on the finer points of the game, including video analysis of camp sessions.
  • Each player will have two individual meetings with one of the camp directors – one to preview their individual goals and one to discuss progress made during camp.
What Summit Isn’t
A few things we feel are important to know
  • This camp is not a showcase.
  • This camp is not a place for beginners who don’t already have strong skating and stick skills.
  • This camp is not a place to learn hockey systems. We will teach fundamentals of the game of hockey that can be used in any system.
  • This camp is not a place where strength and conditioning activities will wear you out. We want you to get the most out of the 16 hours of ice time you will get during camp (which will wear you out enough!).
What They’re Saying
Past campers and their families share their thoughts about Summit Hockey Camps
  • “I had a great time at your camp!! I think that keeping it small was especially good because working with the coaches in small groups we were able to work on small details and skills. I also liked the small groups because we got to know the girls better who were all so nice!”
  • “I wanted to take a minute and thank you for the great experience that our daughter had this past week at the hockey camp. She was excited at the level of competition and coaching that she received this week, it was exactly what she needed.”
  • “I just wanted to say a huge thank you for inviting me to your camp. I really like how connected the skills and presentations were to each other. I especially liked how it was coached and how the game was explained.”
